The Summer Food Service Program is a federal program through the USDA that offers free, nutritious meals to children 18 years of age and younger during the summer months when school is not in session. Although the Sharpsville Area School District does not currently participate in this program there are approximately 2500 locations in the state of Pennsylvania.
