Free meal waiver ends June 30, 2022

On August 31, 2020, the federal government announced free breakfast and lunch for all students in all districts across the nation until June 30, 2021. This waiver was extended until June 30, 2022.
The free meal waiver will not be extended past June 30, 2022.
Effective September 2022, families will need to fill out a free and reduced meal form in order to receive free breakfast and lunch meal benefits for their children. Those families who do not qualify will need to pay for school meals. The price for meals will be approved by the Sharpsville Area School District Board of Education at the August 2022 meeting. These will be listed on the district website under the Food Service section.
If you filled out an application in 2021-2022, your benefits will be good until September 2022 at which time you will need to submit a new application.
The 2022-2023 Free and Reduced Meal Application is available on the district website under Food Service and also will be inserted in the district calendar mailed to families in August.
