Welcome to the Curricular Bands page. This page includes links to documents and resources related to the Fifth Grade, Sixth Grade, Middle School and High School Concert Bands.
The Sharpsville Band Program is designed to develop musicians through a structured sequence of musical repertoire. The music we play includes original works for band and arrangements taken from folk songs, popular songs, choral and orchestral repertoire. By the time students graduate, they study the music of historical composers such as Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Brahms and Haydn as well as modern composers like Hazo, Saucedo and Whitacre.
The Fall Concert in November features the 6th, Middle School and High School Bands.
The Mid-Winter Concert in February features the Middle and High School Bands.
The High School Spring Concert, "A Celebration of the Seniors", is in April.
The Middle School Spring Concert in May features the 6th and Middle School Concert Bands and the High School Jazz Band.
The Fifth Grade Band presents their concert in May during the school day.
With the exception of the Fifth Grade Band concert, all concerts are presented at 7:00 in the HS Auditorium.
