Championship Sweep for Pee-Wees & Midgets

Make room in the trophy cases because the Sharpsville Blue Devils achieved a clean sweep of the Shenango Valley Midget Football League's championship crowns! Both the Midget and Pee-Wee Blue Devils topped off undefeated seasons with victories in Saturday's title games.

The Pee-Wees (8-0) topped Mercer 26-6, followed by a 30-8 win for the Midgets (9-0) over Lakeview. The Devils won the gold on home soil, with both games being held at The Pines.

The Pee-Wees scored early on a long Rowin Iorio touchdown run and never looked back. Christian Snyder, KJ Sharpe and Kobe Plummer also scored.

Zayn Oris scored three touchdowns and forced two turnovers for the Midgets, including an interception return to break a scoreless tie just before halftime, and two long touchdown runs in the second half. Dillon Wilson also added a touchdown and fumble recovery. The Midgets dominated the second half to pull away and claim the crown.

Head Coach Tom Findley leads both squads, marking the first championship sweep of his storied career. The Pee-Wee championship is the second consecutive for Sharpsville, and the Midget title follows a runner-up finish in 2025.
