The Sharpsville Area School District accepts the PA State Standard Application for professional positions. We require a copy of your PA certification, current clearances (PA Criminal Check; Child Abuse History Clearance and F.B.I. Criminal History Clearance), health and tuberculin test results, a resume, copies of transcripts, Praxis scores and letters of recommendation.

Support-CLEANING
CLEANING POSITION - 8 HOURS PER DAY (12 MONTH POSITION)-
A school afternoon cleaner ensures a hygienic and safe environment by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing classrooms, restrooms, and hallways after hours. Responsibilities include emptying trash/recycling, disinfecting high-touch surfaces, restocking supplies, and securing rooms, usually operating from late afternoon into the evening.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Classroom & Office Cleaning: Dust furniture, wipe down desks/tables, sanitize surfaces, and remove trash.
- Restroom Sanitation: Thoroughly clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures; restock soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
- Floor Care: Sweep, mop, and vacuum classrooms, hallways, and common areas; spot clean spills.
- Waste Management: Empty trash bins, clean trash cans, and dispose of waste in designated areas.
- High-Touch Sanitation: Sanitize doorknobs, handrails, light switches, and drinking fountains.
- Safety and Security: Follow all safety protocols, use cleaning chemicals properly, and ensure rooms are locked after cleaning.
- General Maintenance: Report repairs needed to supervisors, such as broken items or light failures.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift, and bend.
- Knowledge of Cleaning: Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, sanitization methods, and machinery (e.g., floor buffers, vacuum cleaners).
- Dependability: Ability to work independently and maintain a consistent, high standard of cleanliness.
- Communication: Ability to work collaboratively with a custodial team.

Administrative-Vacancy -Athletic Trainer
ATHLETIC TRAINER JOB DESCRIPTION
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Maintain current certification and continuing education requirements as set forth by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification.
2. Maintain current state licensure in accordance with the Pennsylvania State Board of Athletic Training.
3. Maintain current certification in CPR/Emergency Cardiac Care.
REPORTS TO: Athletic Director, who provides overall objectives and final evaluation in conjunction with the high school principals
JOB GOAL: Provide athletic trainer coverage for high school and middle school athletic programs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The athletic training will practice said profession within the parameters of the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers Licensing Law as laid out by the Pennsylvania State Board of Athletic Training, and will follow both the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics as set forth by the National Athletic Trainers Association. These duties are based on the needs of the school and its athletic programs. The athletic trainer’s duties, enumerated in this document should not be considered all inclusive. The Athletic Director, as necessary, shall modify duties the athletic trainer will be present at home athletic contests and practices and shall attend other post-season and home-hosted contents as directed by the Athletic Director.
1. Establish an effective athletic training program for high school and middle school athletics.
2. Provide first-aid and injury assessment/treatment/rehabilitation/reconditioning for Sharpsville Area School District student-athletes. The athletic trainer will also be responsible for making appropriate physician referral.
3. Provide coverage at home events and practices from the beginning of the fall sport season to the conclusion of the spring season per defined schedule.
4. Supervise the clearance of injured athletes prior to and during the sport seasons.
5. Maintain a line of communication with the team physician(s) regarding athletic health care and recommended treatment/rehabilitation for all athletic injuries.
6. Assist coaching staff in evaluating and implementing sport specific conditioning programs and methods.
7. Maintain an effective and efficient athletic training room.
8. Maintain communication with parents on the care & treatment for their student-athlete.
9. File all necessary reports associated with athletic injuries and/or incidents.
10. Maintain a daily treatment log.
11. Oversee the ordering of supplies and equipment pertaining to the athletic training room and maintain an up-to-date inventory Provide the Athletic Director with an annual budget for supplies and equipment.
12. Equip each team with appropriate medical equipment.
13. Assist in the selection and fitting of protective equipment, including special taping pads or braces.
14. Create a safe playing environment by monitoring and controlling environmental risks.
15. Share professional literature relative to athletic training with the school's coaching staff.
16. The athletic trainer will work in accordance with a weekly schedule to be determined by the Athletic Director. Weekly schedules will vary according to the athletic season.
17. Organizes the administration of Impact testing for the appropriate athletic teams.
