Blue Devils Shine at 2026 Lawrence and Mercer County Literacy Under the Lights!

Blue Devils of all ages celebrated the joy of reading at the 5th Annual Mercer and Lawrence County Literacy Under the Lights Event at Westminster College! Families and friends joined in the fun—smiling, laughing, and exploring all things literacy. Guests enjoyed a scavenger hunt, listened to stories from wonderful community helper guest readers, swapped books with friends at the book exchange, and even took photos with the Mercer and Lawrence County Champions for Literacy mascots! Sharpsville showed up in full force, boasting the highest attendance among the 11 schools and over 130 children present. It was a great day to be a Blue Devil, and a truly magical night filled with stories, happiness, and community spirit!
