A Message From the Superintendent

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Staff,

In accordance with Act 44 of 2025, a Pennsylvania law, school districts are required to notify
parents/guardians and staff within 24 hours of any incident involving the possession of a weapon
on school property, during school-sponsored activities, or on school transportation. This
notification is required even when a threat assessment determines there is no active or ongoing
threat to students or staff.

This notice is to inform you that on September 16, 2026, a weapon was inadvertently and
mistakenly brought onto school district property. The weapon was immediately reported and
relinquished to administration. 

The situation was addressed promptly and in accordance with school safety procedures. Please
note that, consistent with privacy laws, no personally identifiable information may be shared.
We take the safety and security of our school community very seriously and appreciate your
continued cooperation and trust. Our priority remains maintaining a safe environment for all
students, staff, and visitors.
