Attendance Expectations for Game/Event Safety Measures

Dear Sharpsville School District Families:

Fall sports are now in full swing.  In an attempt to be proactive and avoid inappropriate behavior such as disregard for safety and rules, recklessly running around, inappropriate language, and pushing and shoving, we need your cooperation in providing our students and guests with a positive and enthusiastic game day experience.    

Game Day Fan Expectations and Safety Measures

  • Students in Grades 8 and below must be accompanied by a parent and/or guardian or they will not be permitted into the venue.  Unattended drop-offs are strictly prohibited.

  • We ask that parents/guardians actively monitor their children throughout the venue.  If your child is not sitting with you in the stands, please ensure they remain well behaved and follow all rules and expectations.  

  • Students in grades 9 through 12 do not have to be accompanied by a parent/guardian.  

  • Student spectators are expected to remain seated in the stands during gameplay rather than loitering in concourses, walkways, or open spaces.  

  • This will be in effect for all home sporting events and activities held on campus.  All school rules are in effect for all sporting events and activities.  

  • Respectful sportsmanship is required from all spectators.  Verbal abuse or harassment directed at officials, coaches, players, or gameday staff will result in immediate removal.  

Additionally, except for the use of restrooms and visiting the concession stands, no students in any grades will be permitted to walk around or stand along the fence or scoreboard, or behind the fieldhouse  at any time during an event.  If they are addressed by staff or Sharpsville Police, they will be required to leave the premises and will not be permitted to re-enter.

This decision is to help create a safe and friendly environment for all of our patrons.  Safety and security for everyone is paramount.   We continue to encourage students and spectators alike to both attend and support our activities and programs.  That being said, this needs to happen in a safe and orderly fashion.
