It was a great weekend for Sharpsville's Quizbowl team. Sharpsville emerged as the winner of the Second Division in the Mahoning Valley Quizbowl League, and earned 3rd place at the league-wide tournament in Columbiana, Ohio.

The Blue Devils were led by Graham Hanneman, who was dubbed the Mahoning Valley League's Most Oustanding Player out of over 200 students from 26 schools. Joining Graham were Om Patel, who was named to the league's All-Star team, and senior Maxx Bain, who put on a career-best performance.

It is my great pleasure to watch the team's effort pay off. Other Quizbowlers who were unable to make it today but also put in hours of work are senior Travis Ludwig, juniors Kylie David, Alivia Werther, Bethany Ailleo, Macie Aley, and Cole Plotner, and 8th graders Shaan Patel and Westin Breit.
