Welcome to third grade! I am Shanay Phillian, your child's math and science teacher. I graduated from Westminster College with an elementary/special education degree with a concentration in middle school mathematics. I also graduated with my Master's Degree in School Counseling from Westminster College. This is my fifth year teaching third grade at Sharpsville Elementary School.
My goal is to provide your child with the best education possible while fostering a love for learning. To ensure success for all students, I will accommodate different learning styles and needs. Resources and modern technology will be utilized to provide and implement an effective curriculum aligned with the Pennsylvania Common Core Standards. I hope that you and your family are ready to begin an exciting year filled with fun and learning. I look forward to working together to create a positive and rewarding school year!
